Our dog training runs in three stages and you pick the one that matches your dog's age.

• 8 to 16 weeks: the Complete Puppy Program, which includes group puppy school
• 16 to 32 weeks: adolescent training, for the stage where most owners feel they are losing the dog they had
• 32 weeks and older: at home one to one behaviour training

Alongside the training we also offer pet sitting, dog walking, boarding and doggy daycare across Sydney.

Every tier of the Complete Puppy Program includes:

What changes between tiers is the one to one time. Silver includes one in-home session and six months of program access. Gold includes three. Platinum includes ten, lifetime program access and training equipment, and is capped at five clients at a time.

It is a program, not a class. A puppy class is a set of group sessions in a hall, and when the six weeks are up you are on your own. Ours starts at eight weeks old and keeps going well past the point a class finishes.

You get group puppy school in classes of six to ten puppies matched by size and age, one to one training in your own home where the problems actually happen, an online course that runs week by week from eight weeks to twenty-four weeks, and a community you keep access to. The group classes are one part of it, not the whole thing.

Puppies learn faster and have fewer ingrained habits, which makes early training much more efficient. Adult dogs can absolutely be trained but it takes more patience to undo established patterns.

Start the day your puppy comes home. The habits you will be trying to undo at eight months are being set in the first few weeks, so the sooner the routine at home is right, the less work there is later.

Yes. You can join at any point. There may be one or two elements you have already passed, but plenty of owners join later and get just as much out of it.

The course is divided into age brackets so you are only ever reading the part that matches the puppy in front of you. If your puppy is already past 16 weeks, our 16 to 32 week adolescent program is usually the better fit and we will tell you that rather than sell you the wrong thing.

The only hard limit is group puppy school. Your puppy needs their second vaccination to join, which usually means from around 11 weeks. That is for safety.

Between 16 and 32 weeks your dog goes through a huge amount of change. They grow from a cuddly puppy into their full size, they build confidence, and they start working out where they sit in the world around them. In human terms they have all the bravado of a teenager.

This is the stage where most owners tell us they feel they have lost the dog they had at 12 weeks. Recall goes first, then the lead, then the front door. It is not the dog forgetting the training. It is the dog checking whether the rules still apply. Our 16 to 32 week program is built specifically for that window.

For adult dogs (32 weeks and older) we offer a completely 1:1 service that includes either one or two training sessions. These last between 2 and 2.5 hours and come with full online, phone and community support as well as dedicated behavioural guides.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. If you want a method like that I suggest you call the 1980s, go back there and never get a dog. We teach The 5 Golden Rules, a method based on positive action that reinforces your role as the leader in your dog's eyes.

That is a great question. There are currently 4 major ethical schools of thought that have significant evidence behind them in terms of results for owners.

Plenty of trainers have a "die on a hill" mentality when it comes to their method. Our view is simple. it's similar to dieting.

If you want to lose weight, the best diet for you is the one you follow.

Different people are likely to stick with different things. All that matters is that you do something consistently.

Our method is a great foundation and has worked for huge numbers of owners. For those looking for something different we can incorporate other methods on top of this core behaviourism training.

Developing a well behaved dog has 2 parts: dog psychology & dog training. We focus first on understanding your dog and getting them to choose to follow and listen to us. When dogs aren't making all the decisions, they calm down and relax, making them far more receptive to training. To do this, we don’t need to use force, fear or aggression. In fact the opposite. Whether dealing with barking, leash pulling, jumping, or aggression, these behaviours typically stem from dogs being too excited, reactive, and emotional. The key is getting them to turn to you and listen when it matters. Once they're calm and looking to you for guidance, you can effectively show them how to behave.

Most people see a clear shift within 3 to 5 sessions, provided they are practising in between. The sessions teach you the skills. The daily practice is what builds the behaviour. Without practice at home, progress is much slower.

All our team members are required to pass AFP background checks before working with us as well as sitting and passing the Red Cross Pet First Aid Australia course. I trained in Relational Leadership and graduated from the Dog Trainer Academy whilst also being a Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) from Pet Sitters International.

No dog trainer or behaviourist can guarantee outcomes in a given timeframe unless they are willing to use unethical methods (eg shock collars etc). As a completely ethical dog training organisation, we would never use these methods.

There are 4 important factors when it comes to training:

• Your ability to be consistent (the most important)
• Your personality
• Your dog's breed
• Your dog's background

We always tell our clients that if you follow our training, are patient and diligent you should see the 1/1/1 rule. That is gradual improvement in 1 day, 1 week and 1 month.

Because you are not buying four group classes. A standard Sydney puppy school is four to six group sessions, often fifteen or more puppies in one hall, and then it ends.

Most owners who do a cheap class end up paying a behaviourist at eight months anyway. We would rather you only paid once.
