All breeds, all sizes
We take 6 to 10 puppies per class, and the Zetland facility comfortably fits the full range, toy breeds and small companions through to larger working dogs. You are just as likely to see a Bernese Mountain Dog as a Chihuahua in one of our Zetland classes, and the curriculum adapts to both. What never changes is the framework. Calm, consistent, force-free training works across every size and every breed, and we have never needed pain or fear to get there.
What the program covers
Week 1, foundations. Structured introductions, Sit, Down and Stay, supervised socialisation with a trainer narrating what you are seeing, and practical help with biting, teething and toileting. Your puppy's photo is taken this week, framed and presented at graduation.
Week 2, adding difficulty. Commands under distraction, Stay versus Wait as two distinct skills, the first steps of loose lead walking, and fixes for jumping and attention barking. We introduce the first two of the Five Golden Rules of Relational Leadership here, the framework behind everything we teach.
Week 3, building reliability. Command chains to build mental fatigue on purpose, recall under real distraction, off lead structured walking, and separation anxiety prevention. Puppies are noticeably bigger and more demanding by now, so we give breed-specific guidance on exercise and stimulation.
Week 4, graduation. Loose lead technique, reading park play properly, early adolescent behaviours addressed before they set in, and a full graduation with your framed Week 1 photo. After class four, you stay connected through our Skool community for as long as you need it.
