Puppy School (8 - 16 Weeks Old)
Bronze
Bronze is puppy school on its own. Four weeks in a small class, the community behind you, and Ask Luke on hand round the clock. For owners who want the socialisation and the structure, and are happy running the rest at home themselves.
Silver
Silver is the full program. A setup session at your house before school starts, the online course for six months, and direct support whenever you need it. Ask Luke reads your course material too, so it answers on the week you are actually on. Backed by our satisfaction guarantee.
Gold
Gold is for owners who want to actively shape how their puppy develops. Three home sessions across the first months, a full year of course access, and phone support as well as messaging, so you are adjusting as they grow rather than fixing things later.
Platinum
Platinum is for owners who want their dog to genuinely excel. Ten home sessions through to adolescence, lifetime course access, the video library and your equipment, plus priority phone and text. We take five Platinum clients at a time, which is what makes that possible.
*Ask Luke is our digital mind, available 24/7 with no message limits at any level. On Bronze it draws on everything we publish for free, the blogs and the guides on the site. From Silver up it also reads your course material and the community, so it answers on the week you are actually on rather than in general.
*Satisfaction Guarantee: From Silver and above you offer a satisfaction guarantee. Please find details further down this page

You are not alone
Most people come to us a few weeks in. They've tried a few things, watched some videos, maybe bought a book. Some of it worked, most of it hasn't stuck. That's not on them. Nobody tells you what order to do things in, or why.
Why it runs to twenty four weeks
The online course runs week by week from eight weeks to twenty four weeks, which is the whole of the socialisation window. The hard bit usually isn't the first few weeks. It's month four and month five, when the cute phase has worn off and you've got a dog testing every boundary they can find, and you're not quite sure what went wrong.
How Puppy School works
Four weeks, one session a week, in the same slot each week, capped at ten puppies and matched by size. Your puppy joins once they've had their second vaccination. That is usually given in the twelve to fourteen week range, and in our experience most commonly at twelve weeks.
Everything before that point is covered at home. The program starts the week your puppy arrives, not the week the class does.
Choosing your level
There are four. Bronze is puppy school on its own, for owners who want the class and are happy running the rest at home themselves. From Silver up we come to your house before school even starts, the online course runs alongside you week by week, and you have us to ask throughout. Gold and Platinum are about how involved we stay as your puppy changes.
The online course
It runs alongside everything else and is structured around your puppy's actual age rather than dumping it all on you at once. Early material covers what you need before they even come home. Then it moves through the first weeks, puppy school, adolescence, recall, breed behaviour, common problems, health and first aid. There's a Problem Library you can open any time something starts. Six months of phone and community support is included throughout.
Too old for Puppy School?
If your puppy is over 16 weeks when you join, puppy school isn't going to be possible. We run Puppy Training for 17 to 32 weeks that replaces the group class with another one to one instead. Same support, just structured differently. Some owners skip group classes altogether for their own reasons and we can usually accommodate that.
How to enrol
Pick your support level, choose your puppy school dates, then book your one to one sessions. Everything goes to your calendar.
Where we run classes
Puppy school runs at six venues across Sydney and all six are taking bookings:
- Paddington, our flagship, at Dogs in Town, 308 Oxford Street
- Edgecliff, Dogs in Town, 500 Glenmore Road
- Neutral Bay, DoggieLove, 71 Military Road
- Zetland, Dogs in Town, 44 Epsom Road
- Alexandria, Dogs in Town, 266 Mitchell Road
- Marrickville, Dogs in Town, 55 Addison Road
Anyone in Sydney can attend any of them, so pick the one that fits your week rather than the one that is closest. Start dates vary by venue, so check what is running next or ask us and we will tell you.
One to one training covers Sydney within roughly a forty five minute drive of the Harbour Bridge, which takes in the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, North Shore, Northern Beaches, Hills District, Western Sydney and South Sydney.
Force-free, always
Everything we do is force-free. That's not a marketing line, it's just how we work. We're not interested in getting your dog to comply out of anxiety. We want them to actually choose to work with you, which sounds simple but it changes everything.
