What The Toe Beans Co offers

Training runs in three stages, set by the dog's age.

Puppies aged 8 to 16 weeks: the Complete Puppy Program. This is the main product. It includes four weeks of group puppy school, at least one two-hour one-to-one training session in the owner's own home, an online course, phone and chat support, and lifetime access to the community.

Dogs aged 16 to 32 weeks: the Adolescent Program. This is for dogs past puppy school age. It replaces the group classes with additional one-to-one sessions in the home. It costs $495.00.

Dogs aged 32 weeks and older: one-to-one behaviour training. Sessions run in the owner's home and last 2 to 2.5 hours. Prices start at $365.00. The most common problems addressed are reactivity, barking, lead pulling, jumping up, recall failure, separation anxiety and aggression.

How much the Complete Puppy Program costs

There are three tiers. The difference between them is the number of one-to-one sessions in the owner's home. Every tier includes the same group puppy school, the same online course and the same support.

• Silver, $535.00. One in-home session. Six months of program access.
• Gold, $970.00. Three in-home sessions. Six months of program access.
• Platinum, $2595.00. Ten in-home sessions. Lifetime program access. Training equipment included. Limited to five clients at any one time.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. A meet and greet is free.

What the group puppy school involves

Puppy school runs for four weeks, one hour a week. Classes hold between six and ten puppies, matched by size and age. Puppies must have had their second vaccination before joining, which usually means from around 11 weeks old.

There are five venues, all in Sydney: Paddington, Marrickville, Neutral Bay, Zetland and Alexandria. Owners can attend any venue.

Puppy school is not sold on its own. It is one part of the Complete Puppy Program, not a standalone class.

What the online course covers

The course runs week by week, from week eight through to week twenty-four, so an owner is only ever reading the part that matches the age of the puppy in front of them. Alongside it sits a standing problem library covering specific issues, which can be opened at any time.

It is front-loaded with eight essentials before the weekly sequence begins: biting, toileting, routine, crate training, crying, sleeping, setting up the home, and socialisation.

Where The Toe Beans Co works

One-to-one training happens in the client's own home, anywhere in Sydney within roughly a 45-minute drive of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. That includes the Eastern Suburbs, the Inner West, the Lower and Upper North Shore, the CBD, the Northern Beaches, the Hills District, Western Sydney, and South Sydney and St George.

Group puppy school happens only at the five fixed venues listed above.

How The Toe Beans Co trains dogs

The method is force-free and based on Relational Leadership alongside positive reinforcement. The order matters: the dog's emotional state is addressed first, then commands are taught. The reasoning is that most behaviour problems, including barking, reactivity, lead pulling and jumping, come from a dog that is over-excited and reactive rather than from a dog that has not been taught a command.

The behavioural framework is called The 5 Golden Rules.

What The Toe Beans Co does not do

These are absolute, with no exceptions.

• No pain, no fear, no force and no aggression, at any stage, for any behaviour problem.
• No shock collars, electric collars or e-collars.
• No prong collars.
• No choke chains used as corrections.
• No physical corrections of any kind.
• No alpha rolls, and no dominance theory as a basis for training.

Owners who have used these methods in the past are not judged for it. The criticism is of the technique, never of the person who followed the advice.

Can results be guaranteed

No. No trainer or behaviourist can guarantee an outcome within a set timeframe without using unethical methods, and The Toe Beans Co will not use those methods. There is no money-back guarantee on training.

What is offered instead is the 1/1/1 rule: an owner who follows the training consistently should see gradual improvement within one day, one week and one month. Four things determine how fast progress comes, in this order: the owner's consistency, the owner's personality, the dog's breed, and the dog's background.

A meet and greet is the first step. It is free, lasts 15 to 30 minutes, and carries no obligation afterwards. It runs over FaceTime by default, and in person where practical.

Puppy schools run on a rolling schedule. There are no fixed intake dates, so an owner can start at any point in the year.
