Should I get a dog?

For most people the answer is no. Dog ownership is expensive and time consuming (especially the first 6 months) and people are not aware of how challenging this can be. Owning a dog is a wonderful experience but you need to make sure you are ready

What is the right breed for me?

That really depends on your lifestyle and financial situation. There is no one size fits all. You can use our lifestyle calculator to learn more.

How will my dog respond to the training?

Like people, all dogs are different. What really matters is not your dog, but you. Some dog's can be more stubborn but ultimately if you engage in calm and consistent action your dog will get better.

What is the best dog training method for me?

Aaaah, now that's a great question. There are 4 major schools of dog training and you will suit one better than all the rest. We have a quick course and selection tool on these schools.

Is the community really free?

Yes, absolutely. You can access all of them through our free community where we also host weekly dog training zoom calls. You can stay as long as you like.

What is included within the community?

We have an online community which you can join for free. On this we offer free support for common issues and host weekly webinars/ Q&As about different dog training and pet topics. You will join other pet owners who are trying to do the best for their pet. Different modules include:

History of Dog Training and breakdown of modern dog training methods
Our complete puppy program
Community calls and weekly zooms to help owners suffering from different behavioural issues

What if I cannot find my breed?

Don't panic. We have worked with a long tail of rarer breeds (eg Wolfhounds, Deerhounds, Dalmatians, Neopolitan Mastiffs etc) and are happy to write guides if you need help. (We only have so much time)

Is barking fixable?

Yes and no. Certain breeds are more inclined to bark (such as the Dachshund). These dogs are inclined to bark more easily and changing these behaviours is incredibly challenging. For other breeds this is possible with consistency and effort.

Can dog-dog aggression be sovled?

The most important consideration is whether this is reactivity or aggression. Dogs that are reactive are usually scared and act out. For dogs that are aggressive, usually 1 in every 100, these is a much more severe behavioural issue that can take a lot longer to solve (if at all).

Can dog-human aggression be solved?

Similiar to the above but there are many more moving parts. Different methods approach this differently but this can be solved. This can be exacerbated with new borns, if that is the situation you are in
