Post-Puppy: Developing the Perfect Companion
I have seen in countless times. Your puppy gets 10 Gold Stars out of Puppy School. You're the talk of the town. And then 3 months later, you can't walk past a dog in the park without lunging. Or they bark whenever you leave them.
Our puppy program covers some of the common behavioural challenges that can come up in your first year. This program, our post-puppy program gets further into the detail with 2 practical one hour workshops.
The goal of this is to help you identify behavioural issues early and know exactly how to combat them.
This course can also be taken online and comes with an additional 6 months of support to our training platform to get you through the 1st year of your puppies life.
- Leash and walking issues - pulling, reactivity, and aggression during walks
- Jumping up on people - inappropriate greeting behaviour and attention-seeking
- Excessive barking - at doors, for attention, when left alone, in cars, and around property
- Aggression problems - toward people, other animals, or objects
- Separation anxiety - destructive behaviour and distress when left alone
- Biting, nipping, and destructive chewing - especially common in puppies
- Recall issues - not coming when called or running away
- Potty training problems - house-breaking difficulties
- Fearfulness and anxiety - phobias, scared behaviour, and hyperactivity
- Puppy behavioural issues - general new puppy adjustment problems
- Inappropriate elimination - including eating faeces
- Furniture and boundary issues - jumping on furniture, accessing restricted areas
- Multi-dog household problems - dogs not getting along with each other
- Muzzle training - teaching dogs to accept and wear muzzles properly
Workshops
Educating yourself as an owner is the best method you have to managing your dog's behaviour. The earlier that you can identify problem behaviours, and the mor accurately you can look to remedy them, the greater the chance that you can fix them and avoid A LOT of stress and money. During your puppy's first 12 - 18 months they will begin to test the boundaries of what is acceptable in a few ways, you don't want to be calling a dog trainer, or trying to follow multiple pieces of advice for every issue
Across 2 workshops we run through the most common behavioural problems and exactly how to fix them. For our clients that have joined us from our puppy program, we will be continuing to develop your use of the calming code.
We do also offer an online version for clients who cannot make it to Sydney.
Ongoing Support
You will receive 6 months support and access to our video tutorial database and community. Think of us like your dog's fairy godmother. You can access webinars, recordings, speak to our team and chat with other owners to make sure that you are keeping your dog on track.
If you want even more help on top of this you can access 6 months more support or a 1:1 session with your puppy at your home to get even more feedback. We encourage people to ask as specific questions as possible with our online support to make sure that you are getting the exact support that you need (and not generic advice)

Bonnie
“I felt at ease leaving my rescue Bonnie (who also receives daily medication) with the Toe Beans Co while we traveled overseas. I know she got the care and daily pats she needs and even received regular videos and updates.”
