Are meet and greets free?

Meet and greets are completely free and there is no obligation to work with us after the meet and greet has taken place.

How long are meet and greets?

Meet and greets are usually between 15 and 30 minutes

Are meet and greets in person?

We are able to do some meet and greets in person but our default is to do them via facetime. This gives us a chance to speak at a convenient time. If you are more than 30 minutes from the centre of Sydney we are unable to drive for a meet and greet.

What happens at a meet and greet?

Think of this as an opportunity to ask any questions you have. We will do the same and especially for group dog walking, will ask a number of questions about your dog's history. If you are looking for group dog walking services then please have any information about their behaviour, behaviour incidents or anything else prepared.

What are the main services you offer?

Our dog training runs in three stages and you pick the one that matches your dog's age.

  • 8 to 16 weeks: puppy school, which includes four weeks of group class
  • 17 to 32 weeks: puppy training, for the stage where most owners feel they are losing the dog they had. There is no group class at this age
  • 32 weeks and older: behaviour training, one to one in your own home

Puppy school runs at six venues, and all six take bookings: Paddington, Edgecliff, Neutral Bay, Zetland, Alexandria and Marrickville. Start dates vary by venue, so check the puppy school dates page for what is running next. Everything else happens in your own home, across Sydney.

Which areas of Sydney do you work in?

One to one training happens in your home, anywhere in Sydney within roughly a forty five minute drive of the Harbour Bridge. That covers the:

  • Inner City and City Centre
  • Eastern Suburbs
  • Inner West
  • Lower North Shore
  • Upper North Shore
  • Northern Beaches
  • Hills District
  • Western Sydney
  • South Sydney and St George

Group puppy school runs at six fixed venues within about eight kilometres of the Harbour Bridge: Paddington, Edgecliff, Neutral Bay, Zetland, Alexandria and Marrickville. All six are taking bookings. See the puppy school dates page for current dates.

What is included in puppy school?

Puppy school starts with a four week group class, which every level gets. From Silver up you add one to one sessions in your own home, an online course that runs week by week from eight weeks to twenty four weeks and covers everything from day one routines through to the adolescent workshops, breed specific support, and direct support alongside it.

There are four levels of support, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, so you can choose how involved you want us to be.

For puppies too old for the group class at enrolment, seventeen weeks and over, Puppy Training replaces the group school with an extra one to one session at every level.

Do you offer private adult dog training?

Yes. For dogs 32 weeks and older everything is one to one in your own home. There is no group class at this age. Your first session runs two hours and every session after that runs sixty to ninety minutes.

There are four levels, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. They differ by how many sessions you get, how long you have the online course, and how you reach us afterwards. Every level includes Ask Luke, our 24/7 support, with no message limit.

Do I need to book a meet and greet for dog walking?

For solo dog walking you do not need to book a meet and greet. For group dog walking a meet and greet is mandatory.

Does your training use pain, fear, force or aggression?

Absolutely not. If you want a method like that I suggest you call the 1980s, go back there and never get a dog.

We teach The 5 Golden Rules, which is built on calm and consistent communication. The aim is a dog who chooses to look to you when something happens, rather than a dog who has been made to. No pain, no fear, no force, ever, and that is not a marketing line. Anything that works through intimidation gets you a quieter dog for a fortnight and a worse problem six months later.
